EXTERNAL AFFAIRS

Biography:

Milton Martinez received his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering in May of 2004.  Milton has been an active member of IEEE for over four years.  Milton is the eldest IEEE official member of the current Executive committee.  His experience has made him very resourceful to say what can be done, what has been done, and how one could go about an event or activity.  Milton has tried hard to stay in the background of any and all activities in the past.  Now Milton has become a more visible face in the organization and through out the school.

Award:

· IEEE member of the year award 2005.

About External Affairs:

· At UTEP it has become increasingly ever more difficult to stay as an active organization on campus.  This is in part due to budget restrains and the limited fundraising opportunities we are able to host.  Each and every activity now requires proper documentation at the Student Development Center.  This office is also known as the Liaison between different organizations such as SGA and ESLC.  To facilitate the rest of the Executive Committee it was established that someone should be in charge of all the bureaucratic items needed.

Responsibilities:

· Communicate with all UTEP organizations i.e. SGA, ESLC, CAB, SDC, Career Services, etc.

·

· Create and provide all needed paperwork for fundraising.

·

· Attend SGA meetings at least once a month.

·

· Attend all ESLC meetings.

·

· Provide up to date information on regulations set forth by governing bodies.
