COURSE DESCRIPTION

Representation and analysis of continuous and discrete time signals; time and frequency analysis of linear time-invariant systems; convolution, differential and difference equations. Fourier Series and Transform. Z-transform. 

PRE-REQUISITE    : EE 3352 with grade of "C" or better.

POST-REQUISITE : EE 3385, EE 4341, EE 4356, EE 4364, EE 4365, EE 4383, EE 4389, EE 4388

COURSE OUTCOMES : Students completing this course will be able to :

1. Understand the characteristics and representation of continuous and discrete time signals.
2. Understand the characteristics and the mathematical representation and analysis in the time and frequency domain of linear-time-invariant systems.
3. Understand the Fourier series and transform.
4. Understand the z-transform and techniques to solve difference equations.
5. Solve problems using Matlab.
